Fumi Foods is an innovative company dedicated to offering high-quality salt and olive oil products, catering to discerning consumers who seek authentic flavors and pure ingredients. SUMMARY
Fumi Foods aimed to create a cohesive, elegant, and recognizable brand identity that would reflect the authenticity and quality of its products. The vision was to position Fumi Foods as a premium brand, emphasizing the values of purity, quality, and tradition. Our goal was to develop branding that highlights the unique character of the products while improving their presentation through innovative packaging.
RESULT
Our team undertook the corporate identity and packaging design for Fumi Foods, creating branding that exudes originality and authenticity. The innovative design and visual representation of the products enhanced both their aesthetic appeal and taste experience, increasing their attractiveness and differentiation on the shelf.
The branding of Fumi Foods features a sophisticated and minimalist design, inspired by Japanese aesthetics. The logo includes a geometric shape with elements of a traditional Japanese wave pattern in red, symbolizing calmness and nature. On the left side of the shape, an abstract facial figure with one eye is visible, reminiscent of classic Japanese characters or figures. The typography of “FUMI” is clean and modern, while the red color reinforces the brand’s association with quality and tradition. Below the logo, the phrase 「いただきます」 (Itadakimasu) is included in Japanese, a common expression of gratitude and respect before a meal, further strengthening the brand’s connection to Japanese culture and product excellence.
Regarding packaging, the design is elegant and modern, with a clear influence from Japanese aesthetics and tradition. Each product features a distinctive label with bold and vibrant colors such as red, green, and gold, differentiating product categories (e.g., flavored salts, sea salts, sauces, oils) and making it easier to recognize different flavors and product types.
The implementation of the new brand identity and packaging for Fumi Foods received remarkable market response. The result was a significant increase in sales and stronger brand positioning in the minds of consumers, expanding Fumi Foods’ presence in new markets while further enhancing customer loyalty.
