About CFF
The Chania Film Festival is an international festival that takes place on the island of Crete, in the last week of October every year. A great annual celebration of the 9th Art in mid-autumn, in the beautiful city of Chania.
An organization that quickly became an institution with international collaborations, many parallel events, recognition and acceptance. A cinematic event that seeks to host the best films in the field of cinema, from all over the world. A meeting place for fiction, documentary and animation films, as well as for directors, producers and actors.
During its eleven days (last week of October and first week of November each year), approximately 22,000 spectators (including school audiences) attend screenings and side events such as workshops, master classes and exhibitions. CFF is also active throughout the year, producing and presenting a series of events, special screenings, educational workshops, film productions, etc.
The educational program of CFF (CFF Edu) aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the cinematic and audiovisual linguistic code. It is designed for educators and school teachers.
